Robert McDermott serves as Chief Operating Officer of Lillian M. McDermott & Associates, bringing decades of executive leadership, operational expertise, and practical business insight to the organization.

With an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management, Robert began his career in leadership positions with globally respected companies including Procter & Gamble and Shell Oil Company. During this time, he developed expertise in human resources management, organizational development, leadership, and business operations.

He later spent more than 15 years consulting with Fortune 500 companies in the areas of Human Resources Management and Organizational Change, helping organizations improve internal systems, strengthen leadership teams, and successfully navigate growth and transition.

Over the past 15 years, Robert has focused on small and mid-sized businesses, serving as President and Managing Director for multiple organizations. In these leadership roles, he was responsible for accounting, financial oversight, operations management, strategic planning, and human resources.

 

As COO of Lillian M. McDermott & Associates, Robert helps provide the operational structure, financial stewardship, and strategic guidance that support the company's continued growth and success. His ability to combine large-company expertise with small-business practicality allows the team to operate efficiently while remaining focused on delivering exceptional value to clients.

Robert also holds the Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation and serves as a college professor, teaching business-focused courses including Human Resources Management, Strategic Planning, Business Management, and Global Business.

Known for his thoughtful leadership, analytical mindset, and commitment to excellence, Robert helps transform complexity into clarity and strategy into action.
